Description

1-6GHz 50W Wideband RF Power Amplifier Module

The 1-6GHz 50W Wideband RF Power Amplifier Module is a wideband solid-state microwave amplifier engineered for stable high-power transmission across the complete 1-6 GHz band. Its high gain, 50-ohm RF path, aluminum thermal structure and monitoring interface make it suitable for professional OEM integration and laboratory RF platforms.

One amplifier covers X, Ku and adjacent microwave frequencies without changing narrowband PA hardware. This simplifies multi-band system architecture and reduces the number of driver stages, cables and control channels required in custom RF equipment. Typical uses include wideband RF transmitters, counter-UAS subsystem integration, laboratory signal amplification, spectrum-control research and vehicle-mounted OEM equipment.

Key Features

  • Ultra-wide frequency coverage: continuous 1-6 GHz operation.
  • High RF output: 50 W nominal for demanding broadband transmitter designs.
  • High power gain: 47 dB nominal minimizes external driver requirements.
  • Controlled broadband response: 1 dB nominal output stability.
  • Industrial DC input: 28-32 V DC.
  • Standard 50-ohm RF architecture: N female RF connector.
  • System monitoring: High-level enable / low-level disable control lead.
  • OEM customization: frequency segments, connectors, gain, control logic and mechanical housing can be adapted.

Thermal and RF Integration

Install the module on a flat, adequately sized heatsink using a suitable thermal interface material. Forced-air cooling may be required during continuous-wave operation. Use a regulated low-ripple power supply with sufficient current reserve, short DC wiring and correct grounding. The output connector must be attached to a matched 50-ohm antenna, attenuator, dummy load, filter or combiner rated above the maximum RF power before the amplifier is enabled.

Keep the input drive within the stated range and avoid operation into an open or severely mismatched load. Output filtering can be selected according to the final system emission requirements. In a multi-channel platform, independent modules may be combined with suitable isolation, filtering and thermal management to cover several RF bands.

Typical Applications

  • Broadband radar and microwave test transmitters
  • Counter-UAS and spectrum-control RF platforms
  • Electronic countermeasure research systems
  • High-power signal generation and laboratory testing
  • OEM wireless security and monitoring equipment
  • Custom X-band and Ku-band transmitter integration

Customization and Ordering

Custom versions are available for selected sub-bands, gain targets, input levels, RF connectors, supply interfaces, enable logic, monitoring outputs and enclosure dimensions. For an accurate configuration, provide the required frequency band, CW or pulsed duty cycle, minimum output power, available DC supply, cooling method and connector preference. Every module is electrically tested before shipment.
