6-18GHz 50W Wideband RF Power Amplifier for Microwave Link Validation

A 6-18GHz wideband RF power amplifier delivering typical 50W saturated output for microwave link validation, laboratory RF testing and system integration. It provides 47dB typical gain, 50-ohm interfaces and 28V DC operation.

This amplifier covers the complete 6–18 GHz microwave range in one unit. It is intended for engineers who need a stable wideband power stage during link validation, receiver and transmitter evaluation, component characterization, production testing and controlled system integration. The typical saturated output is 50 W, while the typical small-signal gain is 47 dB.

The RF path uses 50-ohm interfaces. The input is fitted with an SMA-K connector and the higher-power output uses an N-K connector. A DSUB 4W4 male connector supplies DC power: contacts A1 and A2 accept +28 V, while A3 and A4 are ground. Correct polarity, cable sizing and grounding should be confirmed before energizing the amplifier.

Integration and Thermal Management

The integrator should mount the enclosure to a suitable heat-dissipation surface and verify temperature under the intended duty cycle before continuous operation. For measurement work, use properly rated attenuators, couplers, loads and test instruments. Confirm that every component in the output path can withstand the expected RF level.
